YCLSA Sibande District applauds President Jacob Zuma Cabinet appointments
14 June 2012
"...we should systematically and consciously take more and more young people into the blast furnace of leadership responsibility. We should, broadly, also ensure race, gender and geographic balances, without reducing this to bean-counting and hair-splitting." ANC 2001 through the eye of a needle? Choosing the best cadres to lead transformation
The Young Communist League of South Africa [UFasimba] in Gert Sibande District joins the chorus of organisations and structures that applaud the cabinet reshuffle by the President on 12 June.
As the YCLSA in Gert Sibande we are particularly pleased by the appointment of Mam Sindi Chikunga and Mduduzi Manana onto cabinet as Deputy Minister of Transport and Higher Education and Training respectively. We dip our red hammers and sickles as we glee in pride at the appointment of the very first cabinet members from the humble district of Gert "The Lion of East" Sibande in the democratic dispensation. We trust that both these cadres who have been teethed and served in structures of the SACP and YCLSA in our district will serve the people of South Africa with distinction.
Issued on behalf of the District Executive Committee
