YCLSA respects the decisions of the African National Congress structures
25 April 2012
The Young Communist League of South Africa [Ufasimba] respects the decision on the African National Congress on its internal processes including the disciplinary processes against its own members; this includes respecting decisions in other structures and organisations within the broader movement as a matter of mutual respect for internal processes.
We further state that we will continue with our work to rebuild the youth political fraternity and continue the conscientisation of young people to focus on core issues of transformation in our society, particularly focusing on education, jobs and youth unemployment and inequalities within our society.
We further continue our call for the transformation of all sectors of the economy to benefit the people and call also for the de-tenderisation of the economy into a peoples economy with state capacity to deliver itself and for cooperatives to even participate in the commanding heights of the economy and not just be for baking, cleaning and such services as vehicles that can directly benefit our people in their communities.
In order to achieve all of this we need a united, stronger, disciplined and conscious revolutionary youth movement that will be able to pursue the agenda of transformation with mutual respect of all components of the revolution and will be dedicated to deepening the national democratic revolution in ensuring that the collapse of capitalism is the ultimate objective to usher in a socialist South Africa.
