Nature of Contract: (Twelve Month Internship with prospects of full-time employment)
Requirements:
A relevant Bachelors Degree, preferably in Social Sciences / Policy Studies / Public Administration and Governance, proven ability on policy process, research, compiling research proposal, project management, policy analysis. Good interpersonal and stakeholder liaison skills. Data analysis and writing skills. Experience in working or leading a youth political formation as an activist will be an added advantage.Â
Duties:
- Co-ordinating and managing the implementation and review of organisational policies
- Conduct research on socio-economic aspects as directed by the Office of the National Secretary,
- Analyse and draft reports on government policies relating to youth socio-economic challenges,
- Liaise with stakeholders from universities, other research institutions, civil society and other government departments,
- Liaise with the International Co-ordinator on the implementation and review of YCLSA Marxist-Leninist perspective on international affairs
- Prepare and present regular reports to the National Secretariat as directed by the Office of the National Secretary,
- Provide research assistance to the National Commissions on Socio-Economic Transformation and Gender Transformation

Requirements:
A relevant Bachelors Degree, preferably in International Politics / Political Sciences / African Politics. An innovative thinker with leadership and strategic management skills. Working knowledge on geopolitical dynamics. A clear understanding of international relations and well-versed with South Africa’s foreign policy. Good interpersonal and stakeholder liaison skills. Data analysis and writing skills. Experience in working or leading a progressive youth political or civil formation as an activist will be an added advantage.Â
Duties:
- Co-ordinate, maintain and update data base on international youth political organisations
- Develop reports and documents on international political dynamics as directed by the Office of the National Secretary;
- Liaise with the Policy and Research Co-ordinator on YCLSA International policy development, implementation, monitoring and review; and report to the National Secretariat,
- Ensuring the implementation of YCLSA Program on International Solidarity and maintain strategic working relationship on international solidarity with the SACP and other organs of the Mass Democratic Movement,
- Maintain working relations between YCLSA and World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) as well as other youth formations in Africa and beyond,
- Manage outreach partnership with the countries of the South and other progressive states.
